W.E. Couplings Ltd have been established since 1991, specialising in the supply of bespoke hose and fittings.

W.E. Couplings manufacture and stock a wide range of industrial rubber and PVC hose in long lengths,

which can be assembled to your individual requirements.

Aside from the custom manufacturing projects we are involved in, a large amount of our standard work involves swaging (or crimping) hose assemblies with a multitude of configurations. We work with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium and brass variations of most of the major fitting categories: BSP, NPT, RJT, DIN, Triclover, Victaulic, Bauer etc. in every size from 0.5" to 24". These larger sizes is where the unique supermax swager comes into it's own. We've practically had to re-write the textbook on swaging and crimping, where at these larger and larger sizes new challenges present themselves. W.E. Couplings are one of only a few companies in the world with these capabilities.

During 2014, W.E. Couplings Ltd has researched and developed a new line of couplings in hard anodized aluminium. This modern material, once it has been subjected to the anodizing process, not only retains the structural strength of it's steel equivalent, but also offers a huge (around 65%) reduction in weight. Coupled with the sought after non-sparking characteristic of this material, it also performs better than steel under extremes of temperature, from a cryogenic -195°C up to 350°C, thanks to the second phase hardening process. Another important benefit of using hard anodized alloy is it's corrosion resistance - this material is proven to be effective at resisting corrosion when handling the majority of hydrocarbon type medias, e.g. fuel & oil.
